You probably already realize that Denver's front range receives relatively little moisture — we only get about 10–15 inches of moisture annually along the Front Range. Lack of rain combined with abundant sunshine and hot temperatures make it very difficult to keep your lawn, plants, and trees healthy.

Denver Water frequently issues watering restrictions from May to October. Just some of the restrictions for watering are:

  • Water no more than 3 days per week
  • No watering between 10am and 6pm
  • No watering during high winds (seemingly impossible in many parts of Denver metro)
