About Littleton

The Pikes Peak Gold Rush of 1859 brought gold seekers, farmers and vendors to the area situated a few miles to the south of Denver. A young engineer from New Hampshire named Richard Sullivan Little was employed to install an irrigation system to serve to help distribute water to farmers and businesses that didn’t have access to waterways and creeks. He and his wifle settled in what is now present-day Littleton in 1862.

Littleton lies in Arapahoe County just a couple of miles south of downtown Denver. It is the 20th biggest city in Colorado with a population of just over 50,000 residents, based on US Census 2020 estimates.

With more than 200 days of sunshine per year, summers are typically warm with winters being chilly and dry. Average temps vary throughout the year between 23 degrees Fahrenheit and 88 degrees Fahrenheit, rarely dipping below 7 degrees or above 95 degrees.

If you’re looking for help with your Littleton landscaping project, Green Mountain has been impressing Littleton residents with fantastic landscaping builds for more than 30 years.
